Speaking to the members of the Tanzania Defense Industry Association (TSIA) who are also the owners of Private Defense Companies, he told them that the responsibility of fighting crime in this country is not only that of the Police but that of every citizen and that the private sector of Defense is a stakeholder the biggest of this issue.

In addition, he has asked them to provide information on crimes and send the criminals to the Police Force if they arrest them.

“It is my hope that you are given a lot of criminal information, that you act on it immediately, either to arrest them and take them to the Police Station if the information requires the service of the Police Force in order to work on the information to be delivered to the Police Force”

Deputy Minister Sagini said this today while opening the Tanzania Defense Private Sector Association (TSIA) meeting held at the New Dodoma Hotel.

Deputy Minister Sagini has ordered all weapons to be kept in a safe and secure place under the supervision of good and honest officials. He has asked them to check their weapons regularly and increase attention in the maintenance of the weapons they have to avoid reaching the hands of criminals.

“Weapons in a safe place is very important because if you neglect this matter, you can be the source of your weapons entering the hands of unscrupulous people, especially robbers, thus increasing the crime problem in the country.”

Congratulating them for holding the Fourteenth General Meeting, Deputy Minister Sagini has asked them to evaluate the progress and challenges of their party’s activities and the private sector of defense and use this opportunity to measure where they went wrong and the steps that will be taken to correct those flaws.
“This shows that there is life because the Party is built and strengthened by members meeting and discussing matters of development and the future of their party. I know there are various challenges as described in your letter.”
He has also asked the owners of Private Defense Companies in Tanzania to ensure that all security guards have a uniform that can identify the security guards of the company, provide professional security training, training in the use of weapons and establish a data center to be able to maintain staff information as well as coordinate work.
